Hi Mammas! Summer is here and if you are like me, I’m constantly searching for activities to keep my kids busy. Actually, let me clarify, inside activities because you can fry an egg outside with Texas heat.
1. Card games- by far my favorite activity to do with my kiddos. Our favorites are Uno, Old Maid, Go Fish, and my son’s favorite Pokeman cards.

2. Indoor picnic: Set up a picnic blanket in your living room or even in your backyard if you don’t have Texas heat. Prepare your favorite picnic foods, such as sandwiches, fruits, and snacks, and enjoy a cozy picnic indoors. Read them a book.
2. Movie: During the school year we have movie night on Fridays but now we just have it during the week. Pick a theme or genre and have a movie marathon at home. Make some popcorn, grab some snacks, and snuggle up on the couch with your favorite films. You can even create a fort with blankets. Then you just dim the lights and use blankets and pillows for extra comfort.
3. Arts and crafts: Get creative with arts and crafts projects. Try painting, drawing, sculpting, or even making jewelry. Some of my favorite youtube channels to improve a child’s drawing skills: Arts for Kids Hub, Draw so Cute, Cartooning Club How to Draw, SchaeferArt, and Proko.
4. Board games or puzzles: Get out your old board games or puzzles and have a game night with friends or family. It’s a great way to engage in friendly competition and spend quality time together. We also love to play Loteria (Mexican version of Bingo).

5. Indoor gardening: Create a small indoor garden by planting herbs, succulents, or small potted plants. It can be a relaxing and rewarding activity, and you’ll have beautiful greenery to enjoy indoors.
6. Cooking or baking: I’m always trying new recipes or baking some delicious treats. Try to make some homemade pizza, cookies, cupcakes, or any other dish that your family likes. This week we made chocolate covered strawberries and steak and macaroni and cheese. Mmmmm, delicious!
7. Virtual tours and museums: Explore the world from the comfort of your home by taking virtual tours of famous landmarks, museums, or galleries. Many museums and attractions offer online tours and exhibits that you can enjoy at your own pace.
8. Fitness workouts: Stay active indoors by doing easy fitness workouts. You can also go to dance kids on youtube and find your favorite video to dance. There are plenty of online resources and videos available that can guide you through different exercises and routines.
9. Play your kids favorite game: Just tell your kids you will give them a “Yes day” for a few hours. This will mean you play their favorite activities, even if it means you play their favorite video game. This will also help you connect with them. They love, Yes days!
